Admissions and TuitionAdmission Process Nawa Academy prides itself on a thorough admission process. We recognize the importance of your child's education. That is why we strive to accept students who will benefit from our exciting educational opportunities. Here are the steps to follow during the admission process:
Admission Criteria Nawa Academy is ideally suited for motivated, coed students in grades seven through twelve who prefer a more hands-on approach to learning. Students who are having difficulty staying on task in school and/or learn better by seeing, touching and doing are also well-suited for this program. Our students look forward to meeting people from different cultures, having new experiences and exploring new ideas as they advance in the educational process. Nawa Academy has a long history of success working with students who have learning differences or attention problems. Nawa Academy does not accept students whose behavior is out of control or students who are mentally challenged, developmentally disabled, psychotic, suicidal, physically abusive, felony offenders or those in need of a residential treatment program. Students with chronic substance abuse problems will not be considered. A student may apply to Nawa Academy at any time. If accepted, students may enter the program based upon available space during the year. However, entering at the beginning of the school year is preferable for students wishing to complete a full semester or year of units. Once an application has been received, a telephone or personal interview must be scheduled with the Admissions Department. After the admission process is completed and a one time entrance and orientation fee has been received, a Parent/Student Manual is sent and a date is set for the student to join the school.
